WWI J.Mandet Rescue Mask
This WWI Brass Helmet - Gas Mask was manufactured by J. Mandet, Paris. The interior is leather lined with a skirted back. You rarely see all metal construction a fire rescue mask because it conducts heat… So it may have been used mostly for fumes. This model could have been the design inspiration for Star Wars C-3PO.
