Ships 1930s Smoke Rescue Helmet
This style of mask/helmet was produced in India. It was used mainly for rescue when smoke or fumes filled a ships hull. They have a striking resemblance to the earlier Sebe-Gorman helmets made in England. The barn door windows open the same way.
