Rare Original 1918 Framed Charlie Chaplin – Charlot Movie Poster
An original nicely framed Charlie Chaplin "Charlot" movie poster, designed by Auguste Louis Leymarie, color lithograph on paper. At over 5 foot tall French poster is an impressive size and would be a feature in any room it was displayed in. Auguste Leymarie's original sketch for this Chaplin passe-partout is held in the collections of the National Library of France in Paris; it is a truly wonderful image of the Little Tramp. Condition shows some window pane shading on original fold marks and a couple of small spots where the paper lifted... 65" x 49.5"... $3200
