Rare Early 8×10 Double Bellows Double Exposure Camera
When have you ever seen one of these? This is a first for me. This very unique camera came out of an important 2 generation New York Collection. This was a custom built double exposure 8×10 plate camera. The body and frame are all manufactured in aluminum. The camera has two bellows at 90 degrees to each other and takes 2 matching lenses. The lenses do not have the fine focus attachment. There is one ground glass. You would shoot your 1st shot then crank the camera to rotate the 2nd bellows around to shoot your 2nd shot on the same plate. There is a crank on the side that must have gearing. The crank is frozen and I’m guessing it may need a cleaning and fresh oil. The camera bellows look almost new. This is a unique addition to any collection but would love to see it in action… 60″ x 48″ x 28″… $3200
