Rare 1930s Pfretzschner Aluminum Double Bass
This is a very rare late German Made 1920s early 1930s Aluminum Bass.
These are very hard to find in playing condition. Body looks very good. This example has the more desirable arched back. It looks to have a Rose Wood fingerboard as well. All the parts look original with no repairs and we did put a new set of strings on. I don’t play so can’t tell you how it sounds. I have been told that Bass players love these when they need a louder instrument or a brighter sound for bluegrass and jazz bands… $8600
