Original Watercolor Series “ 3 For a Quarter”
Most know me as a Steve Erenberg (Radio-Guy) collector and dealer but I spent most of my career as a designer and artist. These original watercolor paintings are part of a new series inspired by my years living in and around Coney Island. “ 3 For a Quarter” is a collection of larger than life portraits featuring “Punks”. These were the canvas knock-down dolls often found in circus, carnival and amusement park booths. Knock 3 down and win a prize. In the mid 1960s I spent summers working one of these booths barking “3 for a quarter” for my great aunt on Coney Island’s main drag... Mermaid Avenue. 23" x 30".... $2400 each
