Housed in its original three-tier gimbaled mahogany box with intact glass and hardware, this timepiece features a 21-jewel movement, power reserve indicator, and a boldly legible dial marked “Hamilton, Lancaster, PA, U.S.A.” The chronometer is protected by a safety setting mechanism, as noted on the original instruction plaque mounted inside the lid. This example includes original paperwork tucked beneath the lid—an increasingly rare detail.
