French Hat Conformatore
This is a wonderful example of turn-of-the-century inventiveness. It is unsigned but believed to be made in Paris by "Allie Maillard”. Each of these complex machines were hand made in ebony, brass, copper and Mother-of Pearl. It can copy the shape of a head as well a transfer that shape to a paper inside the top lid. Unique to this example are the ornate brass butres brackets.
