1920 Seat of Health Antique Rowing Machine
Unusual and beautifully designed this early 20th century collapsible rowing machine abdominal exerciser manufactured by the Health Developing Apparatus Co., inc., Bridgeport, Conn. Made of lightweight aluminum which also makes it perfect to hang up as unique vintage wall art. When fully extended the machine measures 50 inches in length. the width is approx. 12 7/8 inches. one side of the device reads “the seat of health” with added floral motifs. The side containing the adjustable foot pedals is also adorned with ornament, along with very fanciful calligraphic company initials. The wood handles retain original black enamel finish.
