Japanese Horse Gas Shroud and Mask
I'm not sure of this items age but guessing it's WWII. I have been collecting unique items like this for years and have never seen another example. The protective cover is for a full size horse as is the gas mask. People are always surprised that horses would wear gas masks. If the rider needed a mask then so did the horse. Otherwise the rider would be walking. It is signed in Japanese on the underside. The custom-made museum display stand is almost as impressive as the equipment. I had to take a picture of it.
