This hand made prototype or child's size chair is a original survivor of the art and design movement De Stijl. Its design follows the De Stijl ideals of horizontal and vertical planes of geometry. The original fabric horse hair filled seat and back are still in wonderful condition. The fabric and original black painted wood have the perfect aged patina. Everything is right about it. I love the prominent pegged mortise and tenon joinery. For me its more of an art object that furniture. Its unsigned but could be the early work of an important designer... 17"x24"x35"... $3400

Scott Philharmonic FM, serial number RR 461, featuring the original chrome chassis with early FM band (41 to 50 MHz), matching 15 inch field coil speaker, and a beautifully preserved wood cabinet with original finish and classic Art Deco detailing. The chassis powers up strong across AM, shortwave, and FM, with all tubes present, clear dial glass, and bright chrome. The cabinet is solid with striking veneer work and curved accents that reflect the era’s craftsmanship. A rare, museum-worthy example of Scott’s flagship prewar high fidelity system.

If I had a place in my own home I would be keeping this desk. The 3 leg set are turn of-the-century industrial Iron. The original paint patina was untouched to offset the perfectly finished wood table top. These legs are heavy iron and are adjustable from 29 to 33 inches. The top is a thick slab of rare Chestnut with 3 sides cut square and a live edge front. The top has a butterfly joint in the style of Nakashima. The top was done in a smooth satin natural finish. All the natural wood splits were filled with a dark resin... 23" x 30" x 88"... $5800

This was a true barn find. The table must have sat unused for years. This impressive well designed table is unsigned but looks as if it may be an important maker. The wood needed to be refinished to bring back the beautiful old walnut. The construction is amazing and every piece of wood was either steam bent or carved to shape. Theres not a straight line on it. The glass pictured is simply rendered into the pictures. But it does come with a new 48 inch x 72 inch glass top... $4800
